Enigma Viewer is an interactive 3D simulator of the WWII Enigma cipher machine that runs entirely in your browser. Press a key and watch the electrical current flow through the plugboard, entry wheel, rotors and reflector before lighting the output lamp — every wire crossing, rotor step and the famous double-step anomaly rendered faithfully to the real machine. Seven historical variants are included, from the standard army Enigma I to the four-rotor U-boat M4 and the cog-driven Zählwerk G-312, each with its authentic rotor wirings. Set the day key, patch the plugboard, step through a letter hop by hop with explanations, or feed a message back through the machine to see Enigma’s reciprocity decrypt it before your eyes. Brunelleschi’s Dome is an interactive 3D visualization of the construction of the great dome of Florence Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore), built between 1420 and 1436 without centering — the largest masonry dome ever raised. The model is generated procedurally, loosely, from the dome’s historical geometry: the pointed quinto acuto profile, the octagonal double shell with its eight corner ribs and sixteen hidden minor ribs, the stone and wooden chain rings that hold the structure in tension, and the famous herringbone (spina pesce) brickwork. A timeline scrubber replays the sixteen-year construction course by course, alongside Brunelleschi’s ox-hoist and castello crane, with cutaway views, annotations, and guided tours that explain how the dome holds itself up.
